I've heard of 'pox parties' like that. I think they used to be quite common here.

I have never had the chicken pox and hopefully never will!

as someone who works as a daycare teacher- yes it was wrong of you. i'm not trying to be mean in any way, but you child could have exposed those other children to an illness, not to mention his teachers- who have families of their own too. that's just inconsiderate. If your child is sick, you need to be more responsible by not exposing him to other children who are not. ( i hope i didn't offend you, but it gets really annoying when people just drop off their sick children constantly without caring about the other kids or the teachers and their families.) If a child is sick, it needs to stay home.
