So, a year ago this month, my cat Little Girl was diagnosed with histoplasmosis. We fought and we won against the terrible fungus. Since she was declared healthy again, she has maintained a normal weight, nice pink gums, active, playful and good looking poops and pees. We have just never gotten rid of the vomiting issue. It use to be piles of undigested food. Now...it's puddles of clear fluid.
Up until November, she would throw up maybe 2 times a month, usually always in the early morning hours. I thought that she had too much stomach acid, so I always made sure that she had some food in her bowl when 5am rolled around.
Then, we went through three blessed months where there was no vomit! She didn't need her nausea medication. She didn't throw up. It was fantastic!
About two weeks ago, she threw up some food and a pretty large hairball. Now, it seems that she's throwing up the clear liquid once a day. The only different between now and that three month period is that she was drinking purified water and we switched back over to tap. Could the water be making her ill? I need to take her back in for a check up when I get some funds. We are also out of nausea medication. Lucky us, right?
I am seriously at my wit's end, because we can't solve this throw up problem!
