This morning Pippin was at the sliding glass door hidden behind the curtain--it's a usual spot for him so I thought nothing of it. I heard something banging around out there and checked because I thought it was something blowing in the wind. Turned out it was a cat right at the window who ran the moment I turned on the deck light. I think Pippin must be entertaining night visitors lately because I've been hearing some quiet, but unusual, noises from there occasionally.
Do I need to discourage this, and if so, how? We have a large feral population in our area and the area between our yard and an adjacent house is a usual pathway. My cat is a big, 2 year old neutered male out of one of those ferals and I've had him since he was 2 weeks of age. He's pretty aggressive, but he didn't seem aggitated this morning when the rascal emerged from his little dalliance. Perfect litter box habits and I want to keep it that way. I should add I'm not certain this cat is a feral but most everyone in the neighborhood has pulled their cats indoors because cats were coming home with bb gun holes in them.
Thanks.
