Ya, they do stink. It's called Warm Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia. Her immune system is making antibodies which are attaching to the red blood cells so her body is destroying them (the red blood cells). Once the process starts up her hemoglobin drops really fast. It really makes a mess of her whole body, the most worrysome being the stress on her heart and liver/kidneys. It is such a crazy thing to have happen. We have just started seeing a naturopath who we hope will be able to figure out the triggers that are causing this extreme immune response but in the meantime it's steroids, blood tests and hospitals for now. We are lucky she's alive though.

Well, it's 8:22 pm and I am just wiped so going off to la la land.
