I am so glad that lexi has such an attentive mother! You are doing such a good job taking care of her during this time, which I know is super stressfulOriginally Posted by sillyitiliangrl
Well just got home from the local hospital (not the one we were at last night) with her because i didn't like the way she was breathing...not bad but not right either and th er dr agreed. she got a breathing treatment and then straight home.... Im just so... uhg
Still no breathing monitor, but they did give me a nebulizer in case it happens again (the machine that they use to give the breathing treatments) I luckily do have the "movement" monitor you get at Babies R Us that does beep when the baby doent move for 20 seconds, it does detect very minor movment like breating, it didn't go off on sunday night though because she was moving around a ton when this happened.Originally Posted by CruiserMaiden
More for Lexi and Mommy (and Daddy)!!!!
I do hope they figure out what is causing this. Did they give you a breathing monitor to use on her?
My oldest daughter got strep infection at nine months. It was pretty awful. I am hoping Lexi doesn't haveOriginally Posted by sillyitiliangrl

They are still thinking the purple episode was reflux, last night they just think was conjestion (which is worsened by refulx) and today they did a strep test on her, even though they say babies dont usually get strep, and that it is very rare that they do, but i mentioned her voice sounded raspy and it came back faintly positive (she said it reads like a pregancy test) so they are doing the more accurate overnight test.... then, if it IS strep (like I have) they will treat her... never a dull moment
