Does anyone have any advice for finding a reliable vet nutritionist, preferably in the NYC area? I have 13-year-old that was diagnosed with IBD earlier this year, and his sister, also 13 years old, seems to have just recently developed a food allergy (itchy skin and overgrooming, no gastro symptoms).
I am on a food trial with both of them but it's been really tough! Does anyone have a vet nutritionist they recommend in NYC -- or, if that isn't allowed, just any advice on the best way to find one, what to look for, how to vet the recommendation, etc.? I'm looking for a specialist that can have a good conversation with me about the whole spectrum of options for my IBD cat -- prescription, commercial limited ingredient, raw food, probiotics, etc.
