My Kitten, Bella, has become very clingy in the last couple of days. She walks around the house meowing until I call her, or walk over to her. Normally she meows when she wants something like food, or through a closed door. But now she just walks around meowing. This is not a normal behavior for her, she is usually very quiet. I am assuming she wants something but I can’t figure what it is.

She’s almost a year old, and she has not been sprayed.
Then my bet is that she is in heat. Usually this happens before one year but sometimes it can be so subtle that the owner does not recognize it. So yes, she definitely wants something and that is to mate. Guard her carefully because she will rush outdoors to the nearest intact male the first chance she gets. And also get her in as soon as possible to be spayed. Being in heat is very distressing for a cat.
