My kitten was given a daily diet of kibble at the Rescue Center where I adopted her. She seemingly prefers kibble, I provide canned wet food at several times during the week.
One trick you might try to get your cat to eat wet food is to add things to it that will be novel in taste and texture. I added a chopped boiled egg to my cat's wet food and she devoured the whole meal. Same thing worked with canned sardines. I mixed a sardine or two (after soaking the fish to leech out salt) into the wet food. She promptly finished the entire meal. As for the chopped boiled egg, only feed about 1 egg per week.
