I have a question. I took in 3 female kittens about 6 months ago. They have all been inside the whole time I have had them. They have all gone into heat in the past month. So, I wanted to take them to get updated on their shots so that I could have them fixed.
Well, about 2 weeks ago my husband didn't shut the front door all the way and they all got out....I found all but one right away and the last one was out for a good full day and night. I think that one might be pregnant but it is too early to tell.
I am concerned because I took the other 2 kittens yesterday and got them started on their shots. They recieved FVRCP and Pyrantel. I didn't take Eleanor because I was worried that if she is pregnant then the shots would harm the unborn kittens and from what I have read I am glad that I didn't.
My question now is, I have seen some things online about how you shouldn't vaccinate ANY of the cats in the house when one is pregnant. Is this something that I should worry about and try to keep her away from the others?
