Hello all,
Has any one experienced uveitis that gets progressively worse despite treatment?
KeKe was diagnoses with uveitis about 6 weeks ago. She started pred acetate drops immediately and we did bloodwork.
She came back with a high positive for bartonella and had a high coronavirus titter. She showed zero other clinical signs, so she was started on aggressive antibiotics for the bartonella.
Her eye continued to worsen, so an anti-inflammatory level of oral prednisalone was started. Still, the eye has worsened. She had X-rays and scans to rule out cancer somewhere in her system. All were negative.
Her eye specialist is stumped and is going to consult colleagues in the field. He said her case is definitely an outlier.
Anyone ever experience anything similar? Her only other health issue is asthma. I'm very worried she is going to lose her eye
