So they re-tested and Tuckers bacteria level's are about half of what they were but he definately still has an infection so he's on Baytril for the next two weeks and then we re-check again...this is getting expensive

I hope it works.
It will add up fast.
I have to go pay the vet 121 tomorrow for Coco's culture.
They sent me the bill in the mail.
Baytril is what Coco is on now and it does work well.
Coco stopped staying in the pan the very next day after getting baytril.
How much does he have to take?
This is what Coco gets.
Baytril Taste Tabs 22.7MG(500)
Baytril Taste Tabs 22.7MG(500)
Give 1/2 tablet once daily orally for 28 days.
It is very hard to get rid of.
I hope your cat will not be like her.
Coco has it 2 months after she is done with meds.

He's getting one 22.7 mg tablet a day of Baytril. He weighs 11 lbs.
They poked him with the needle (into his bladder)again to get a urine sample.
He seems to handle that much better than sitting in a cage waiting all day. He hates leaving the house and starts panting when I put him in the crate.
I feel so bad about taking him anywhere.
Thanks for the positive vibes.
I hope that the Baytril takes care of his infection.

That sounds like the right amount.
Coco iwas 6 .10 pounds on her last visit.
I hope it works for him.
Coco had Baytril in July also and Sept-Oct
Did they say what kind of infection he has?
Coco always is E coli.
I will try to help you with your cat.

There were 4 types of bacteria present...she didn't say the names though.
Wow, it sounds like poor Coco has been through a lot of antibiotics! Poor kitty.

She has but she had bad reactions to most and would throw up within 10 minute of getting them.
Coco can take Baytril and Orbax with out throwing up.
She is 16.10 now.
Are there blood clots with your cat?

No, he's never passed blood. just innapropriate peeing and lethargy.
He's usually pretty playful and so I'm starting to be able to tell when he's not feeling well.
