I have a stray kitty on my back porch. I took him to the vet yesterday, and they said he has a URI, and gave him Clavamox which I've been giving him twice a day. This evening, however, I noticed he is very congested, has dried snot on his nose, and is breathing through his mouth. I took some "tearless" pet wipes and cleaned his nose, and he immediately sneezed out a bunch of snot, but is still breathing through his nose. His appetite is great, though I'm not sure how much he's drinking from the bowl I put out there. He's incredible sweet and lets me do whatever to him (except take his temp...). Is there anything else I can do for him to help him decongest? I can't bring him because I have other cats and I can't pass this to them. He's got an old carrier out there, with a blanket and he loves sleeping in that. The vet closed early today, and will be closed tomorrow for the holiday, so I can't take him there. :-(
