They have hired a company to trap and remove the cats to bring to Animal Control to euthanize. See information below.

This is a worthwhile email campaign.

Send the Wienberg Foundation a little love note about the vacuum effect.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------Hey everyone,

We really need your help

Desperate situation with feral cats in Maui

My family and I have been very active in animal rescue for many years --
I recently moved to Maui and have been trapping, spaying and re-releasing
some of the feral cat colonies in Lahaina, Maui -- It's an enormous problem
out here

Sadly, the business owner of "The Lahaina Marketplace" has hired
an extermination company (Chris @ Eco-Lab -- 800-325-1671) to re-trap the
ferals and bring them back to the shelter to be put down. These ferals
have all had their shots and are being fed regularly.

Since I have already had all of these cats fixed (about 10 there), a new
colony will move in once these ferals have been removed -- The new colony
will breed and start this fiasco all over again, and nobody will be re-fixing them

The owners of "The Lahaina Marketplace" are the
"Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation" --

Their email is [email protected]

I do not have a street address for them.

Also, Dennis, the property manager at the Weinberg Foundation, can be
reached directly at 808-667-9216. Please contact them and ask to put a
stop to this -- Inform them that if they trap these fixed ones,
new ones will take their places and reproduce uncontrollably

Only you can help those innocent kitties now

Please forward this email, or ask your friends and contacts to help with contacting them too

Thank you for all your help.

We are having the similar problem here in Houston at a Condominium Complex. There is a manged feral cat colony that is being cared for i.e. vacinated, spayed, neutered and released into the colony. The complex itself has launched an initiative to trap the felines, neuter them and then release them.

Well it's on hold now because a resident of the complex has filed complaints with the city cliaming that the water bowls for the cats attract mosquitos. The city under the present law is obligated to issue citations and fines.

How is it that one person's mean spirit can affect so many people and animals. The story is on www.KHOU.com today; our TV channel 11
