Around 10 days ago my brother rescued a stray kitten 3 to 4 week old, he seemed very healthy he pooped next morning after that he ate well but didn't poop for 2 days but finally pooped when i added olive oil in his formula, but for the next three days he didn't poop i took him to a vet he used infant glycerin suppository which caused the kitten to poop the next day kitten seemed well nd active but yesterday he acted slower he again didn't poo so i tried to stimulate after stimulation the kitten pooped but after few mintues of this kitten started fading we took him to vet he said kitten is dehydrated and given pedialyte last night kitten pooped twice the color of stool was yellow nd consistency was soft like milk shake we fed the kitten all night with pedialyte nd glucose nd honey nd little amount of milk but now in morning an hour before the kitten pooped again with same yellow milkshake type but blood was present in stool
I m very scared and worried though from this morning kitty has started taking milk but now what i do for yhis blood
I have called my vet he will not be available till evening i need urgent advice please help

Okay don't panic from seeing blood in his poop.

This simply means there is something irritating his bowels/intestines, likely parasites and you can deal with this soon enough.

The first thing you need to do is get this kitten stabilized.

If you have the kittens weight that helps because I will be able to tell you just how much formula needs to be given per day.

Dehydration will kill a young kitten faster than you can imagine. In a matter of 1 day.

Hydration is critical now.

If the vet found him to be dehydrated I'm assuming he was given sub-q fluids?

Does this kitten drink from a bottle or not so good yet?

Did he tell you an approx age?

What are you feeding him?

You don't need to warm him, just a small cozy box with a towel or small blanket on the bottom is fine.

If you think he has lost weight then he surely has.

When you say milk do you mean cow's milk?

Do you have a feeding syringe? If not can you get one?

Kitten is clearly not eating enough to live, and will end up dying, so it is very very important that you get what you need now to help him get stronger.

They are fragile and without more food right away he is not going to make it.

Warm pediolyte is fine, just know that pediolyte goes back fast so instead of wasting so much in the bottle, can you use an ice cube tray and freeze some? Then you can take it out of the freezer and heat it up when you need it.

I hope it is not cow milk.

Tell me, does the kitten walk well? Or is he wobbly and not walking standing up with legs straight.

Do you know if he can run?

Can you post a picture?

I am trying to get an idea of size and age so I know what to feed and how much.

Yes this is diarrhea. This along with not eating enough will cause him to be dehydrated and will die if not stopped soon.

Okay if he can run then he is old enough to eat canned food with some milk in it smashed together in to a thick mush.

Use a shallow dish and offer some canned kitten food. This should help.

If he acts like he doesn't know how to eat it, put some on his mouth so he will lick it off.

Pate type.

Im not sure what is available in Pakistan, do you know some types?

Fancy Feast?

I see fancy feast is available there, any of the ones that say classics on the label, or better yet if they have the ones that say kitten, there is a pink and blue can and a green and pink can, those say kitten on them.

I googled this information to see what canned foods are available to you, and it said fancy feast right away, so this is good to know.

I hope you continue to get milk in to him until you can give him some canned food.

Every hour or two try to feed him some.

You do have a syringe, so you can feed him this way if he will not eat enough on her own.

Just slowly put a small amt in his mouth and wait for him to swallow and take a breath.

We really need to get him stabilized here, there is no reason for him to die other than starving to death.

If he has never had anything except for nursing from his mom cat, then he will be difficult at first, but should get better soon along with increased hunger.
