I am beyond furious with UPS right now!!! I'm soo writing a letter to their company to complaine about the horrible service!
I swear the store near us is run by a bunch of idiots!
I ordred my new cell phone yesterday and when we did so - we opted to have it shipped overnight. Well when we talked to them they told us that we did not have to be home to sign for it.
So today we went to run errands. When we got back home we had a delivery notice on the front door from UPS saying they tried to deliver the package. They didn't leave it like instructed!
(we left specific instructions where to leave it as well)
So i called the 1800 number on the slip and did i get a real person....no! I got a stupid recorded voice. It was absoutely no help whatsoever. I curesed out the recording for about 30 seconds before hanging up on it and going online to find the number to my local store. Well i called the store nearest me and they said my package would be all the way across town at the other store. So i called the other store and spoke with one girl who answered the phone by saying "What do you want?" (talk about rude!!!) / I asked to speak with the manager and they put me on the phone with some guy who wasn't much better than the girl who claimed to be the manager. I told him what happened and he said to call back around 4pm and he would see if the driver would be able to stop by our house again and drop off the package since he was supposed to leave it the first time. Well i called back then and the driver was across town and couldn't do it.
So the manager told me to call back around 5 and see if i could go to the store to pick it up there. So i did and the guy still wasn't back by then so once again i couldn't get it. I was then told to go to the store at 7:30 to pick it up and it would be there. I got to the store and the line was outside of the building because there was 1 person in there and they were rude and slow
By the time we got to her she was very rude to me and answered the phone right in front of me after asking if she could help me! I was mid sentence. At first she told us that the package was there and she would go get it- well we waited about 10 minutes for her and then she came back and said it wasn't there and she didn't know where it was (I did will- call earlier that afternoon to let them know to have the package ready for us to pick up). That was frusterating to say the least- how do you not know where it is?
So anyways she spent another 45 minutes trying to track down the driver only to find out the idiot driver who was supposed to stop by the ups store and unload the packages didn't do so before his shift ended- and the next person to pick up the truck didn't check to see if the truck was unloaded- so the idiot drove off with all of the packages that should have been unloaded! Booo!
So at that point i was getting really mad, but still nicely asked the manager (who came out at that point) what they intended to do about refunding the money we had paid to have it shipped overnight. The stupid woman told me "well you'll have to take that up with the management" - i told her " i thought you were the manager?" ......so yea, forget that woman i'll call the main office tomorrow!!!
I'm ticked!!!
The stupid woman told me - well if you want to leave and call back in 30 minutes i can see if the driver can meet you somewhere to pick up the package. At that point i said "ok." Well 30 minutes went by and after trying to get through the line for 5 minute i finally got ahold of her and she told me "Oh i texted the driver but he hasn't texted me back" - my response was well why can't you just call him? / She told me to call back in 15 minutes and see if she had got ahold of him yet. Once again i did - and at that point the stupid lady said the driver was all the way downtown at the airport and that he didn't know where my package was in the truck (and was apparently too lazy to look!). She said she would call me back in a moment when she heard back from him to tell us what time he could deliver the package.....it's been over an hour now and i still haven't heard back.
I am FURIOUS!
So now i have to waste more gas money tomorrow to go all the way across town to pick it up- i'm calling before i go to make sure it's there this time (i was assured it was there last time but obviously that was wrong
) I am writing a letter to their company and i am going to ask for a refund- i should be refunded the fee they charged me for overnight deliver and for the inconvience they put me through!
This is exactly why i always use FedEx!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, since the company was shipping to me, i didn't have a choice in the delivery company. I will never recommend UPS to anyone after this. This is not the first time i've had problems with their company eithor!
