I hope you told him he was a total jerk!Originally Posted by Isis&D.C.'smom
New update on Isis. Still no more kittens, however she is crying off and on (no signs of contractions though) and she is still nesting. Every room I go in to do something she is rooting around. I called the vet, but they were closed, so I called another vet and he was a total jerk, so I am just waiting it out.
Youre right, I'm the one who mentioned the other kitty who had preterm kittens, then more later,.....that is something to be hopeful for, but every cat is different, each situation different, so it should not be assumed that because that CAN happen, that it WILL happen. Good luck tio ISIS...Originally Posted by Beckiboo
I hate to be the voice of paranoia, but I lost a kitty who had two kittens, and still appeared to be pregnant. This was years ago, an outside kitty (barn cat). I had gotten my other 2 girls spayed, but let her have one more litter because she was such a good Mom. She gave birth to the two, and I never saw any problems, but she was outside, so I didn't watch her around the clock.
Two days later, she died. We lost the kittens, too.
I'm not saying your kitty is in distress, but please call the emergency number of your vet, to get his input. And then at least he will be forwarned in case she does run into trouble tonight.
Even if someone's kitty had some premature, and more later, I would not trust letting a kitty go too long. I don't know the exact time frame, but will look in the sticky's at the top of the forum to check.
