It's been a while since I've been on here, but, since that time, I adopted a friend for Jane. Eliza was a friend of hers from the rescue--another feral, but clearly outgoing, fearless, and feisty (in a good way). Eliza is approximately 2 years younger than Jane and suffered a lot in her youth. She was taken in by the rescue about a year ago and I adopted her 2 months ago. She's been really good for Jane, who is now even more confident. In fact, I have BIG news:
This morning, little Miss Jane approached me, so I extended a hand, which she nibbled, purring so loudly (that started about a month ago). I slowly reached out and pet her. Her tail went up, curling at the tip, the purring got louder, and she returned for more petting. I adopted her 10.5 months ago at the age of seven. Until now, no one could touch her. Thanks to Eliza, who is attached to me, and won't ever leave my side, Jane has learned trust and gained confidence, the ultimate gift she could give me. Here are some photos of my little princesses. Jane is the gray/white; Eliza is the dilute calico.
