I basically hate the outdoors from the middle of April (when the bees and insects start swarming) to the end of October (when it starts getting cold enough all the little pesky critters start dying). I hate the heat, I hate the sun and I hate bugs! I tried to weed my garden last week and freaked because a wood spider had crawled up onto my shirt and was sitting on my chest (yeah, the garden REALLY needs weeded!)
The only part of summer I like is right around twilight...when most of the day bugs have gone to bed and the moths haven't come out yet. Then I will play with the dogs and watch the fireflies.
Now, in fall I will be outside all the time! I love the smells and the sound of crunching leaves. And in winter, I'll take my dogs for walks for hours in the snow. But, in summer I'm a home body.
