Hi everyone!
A quick back story:
I have 5 kittens (rescued from the wilds of our neighbours backgarden with a stray queen).
Poor mum passed away at the vets under anaesthetic when the kittens were around 7 weeks old, the vet said she had a bad viral stomach infection.
Now the kittens are around 15 weeks old and are pretty tame.
One kitten has a bad habit of eating all of the left over food where as the other kits seem to happily stop when they're full. As such she has put on weight. She has no waist and a low hanging belly (not just the pouch).
She also has loose stools which are quite smelly (a strong odour with a hint of fish). This hasn't improved for weeks and today her poop was accompanied by an oily substance (which I had to fend off the other kittens from licking!)
I'm concerned due to her mum having tummy issues: all over the other kits seem fine.
Does anyone know what this could be? Should I be worried? Should I try a certain food to see if it helps?
If I'm stupid and should take her to the vets immediately please do tell me.
I didn't want to traumatised her unnecessarily as she's only just come around from hissing and finally lets us lift her up.
