Generally, almost all of the cats I've had have been bird lovers, as in for eating.

But I remember about 40 years ago when I visited a friend's house and his gray kitty was curled up, and suddenly, a gray cockatiel popped up and flew off, then, hopped onto my proffered index finger. Soon after that, the birdie flew down to the kitty, and hopped into the little nest the curled-up kitty made, and hunkered down, fluffed his feathers and made happy little birdie sounds.

I still smile thinking about it.

Aww the dove wuvs the kitty, even does his mating dance for her :D.

The cats we had when I was a kid were tolerant of our birds. I'm not sure what we did to make them that way, or if they were just low on instinct. They probably would have gently batted at the troll dove after a while though, just to make him go away.
