Training a cat to do tricks??

Wondering if any one has any tips on training your cat ? I would like to teach my adult cat a few tricks like sit, high five that sort of thing.

Hi, I've used clicker training to teach my cats a few tricks.  Mostly though, I've used it to extinguish unwanted behaviors - like sneaking out of the door or getting underfoot in the kitchen.  There are many great books on the topic.  @Plan  posted a link to a series of YouTube videos that illustrate how to use clicker training to teach tricks.  The videos are great.  And clicker training is a lot of fun for both you and your kitty.  You can pick up a clicker at most pet stores for about a dollar; a bit more if you want the kind with a built in wand and treat spoon.  Best of luck.
