I garden and right now I have some seedlings started on the sun porch where my cat dozes during the day. I also have a young flowering plant. I read that the scented geranium is toxic to cats. All of mine are geraniums, but the unscented variety .My cat does not even go near plants so she wouldn't injest the plant.
Are any cat owners here gardeners and am I asking for trouble in the next 6 weeks?

Thanks for yet another helpful and informative article! Unfortunately the variety I grow is just like the ones in the photo heading the article. She won't go near the plant or the seedlings but I am mainly wondering about pollen primarily. Anyone out there that garden? Thanks again feebysowner

The pollen, if ingested or inhaled, could also cause a reaction if it is the scented version of this flower. I think it is pretty safe to assume that if the plant itself is toxic, or a danger, to a cat so is the pollen associated with it.
