I just found out that April 17th is Tortieshell Cats Appreciation Day.

It was created by Ingrid King in 2020, and though the day hasn't been officially recognized yet, Ingrid is encouraging people with tortie cats to spread awareness and appreciation on these unique felines.

I had two tortie cats in my life, one was my sweet Lola, the other one is my Freya.
Another tortie stayed with us for two months before being rehomed. Needless to say that they are my favorite cats.
