Last night when I got home from work, my roommate had a kitten that has been living in our neighborhood living in our enclosed porch. She looks to be about 10-12 weeks old in my opinion. She is very affectionate and is eating pretty well (likes wet food more than dry lol). She has also used the litter box with no problem. My concerns are #1 her belly looks a little swollen, which I am assuming is worms since she probably has never been to a vet to be de-wormed. I felt around her belly and no signs of her being in pain.Concerned #2 I noticed while petting her that when she lays down and gets comfortable she seems to have her mouth open. I don't know if she is breathing from her mouth or just keeping it open, but it's only when she is resting/laying down. She is very friendly and loveable but she seems to b a little lazy. She lays down a lot and I have yet to see her be playful, other than when she chased a bug that ran across the floor. I was just curious if I should be extremely concerned or if just setting up an appt for sometime this week is ok. If she needs to go to an emergency room that's also something I want to know. I got my roommate to agree that he HAS TO take her in to be spayed, de-wormed, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and early mites just because that's the right thing to do and because my cat lives there and I don't want her to catch anything. Any advice or things I should be super concerned about
