Sonny is about 9 weeks old, healthy as can be... However, the little guys has a couple extra toes on one of his paws! When I first got him, I noticed he was definitely double pawed on both his front paws. But the first time I went to trim his claws I counted the little pink pads and noticed that his front right paw actually had a total of 8! Claws included... As you can see in the photo, one of the claws is warped, it doesn't retract and he gets it caught on a lot of things. I chose not to trim this one because it was more pink than the others, and it appeared to have a much larger "wick" inside. (I was told this was equivalent to their finger, and I did not want to injure him.) It's completely curled under his paw so he must walk on it. Does anybody know if this is common with extra toes/claws or should I inquire with the vet? I just don't want him to be in any pain, if it's causing any at all! All I am noticing is that it does get stuck on things.
