My heart goes out to you in the sad loss of your Gizmo.  We have just lost our beloved Booboo (16 years old) and our beloved Peepee (18 years old) within 2 months of each other and it was no different to losing a human family member.  Time heals. Hugs to you and yours.

I will miss and cry about Razzle till the day I die. He left a huge whole in my heart.

Love of a living creature never goes away but I hope the hole Gizmo has left behind can heal for you a little so you can feel the warmth of your memories and less of the pain.  

  

I still feel my 2 'girls' are with me after moving on 6 years and 3 years ago, and I remember them fondly every day.
