First of all, I am so sorry for his burn and am sending speedy healing vibes his way. This is the one thing that I continue to worry about happening. We have one of those flat cooktops that stay hot long, long after the plate quits blowing. Yes, there is a small light to inform (who, a cat?) that there is a burner on. Makes me just want to microwave everything and not worry about it. I suppose there are horror stories about those too. Get well, Tobie!
