Tips For Leaving Kitten Alone During Work Day?

Going back to work tommorrow and letting my 5 1/2 month kitten roam around the house. I have about an 8 hour work day. I have kitty proofed my house and closed all the doors except her room (with litterbox/food etc) Anything i should expect? Has anyone’s kitten retaliated after being left home alone for longer than 3-5 hours? Should i put another litter box on the second floor?

Since you have a second story I would put another litter box up there. Little bladders and young can equal accidents so having an extra one upstairs could prevent an accident. Otherwise, as long as you've catproofed as best you can everything should be fine.

I'd add a second water dish to the second floor just for the sake of it. I left my girls alone for 8 hours at that age. Initially we closed off certain bedrooms and bathrooms mainly because they didn't have any reason to be in that space but everything was fine.
