Hi I'm new to this site. My 14 year old himalayan/persian male has a mass in his chest. The cardiologist and oncologist say the mass is blocking his lymph which is causing fluid to build up around his lungs. They are unable to determine what the mass is. They want to scope and biopsy the mass and if thymoma cut him open and remove it. If they think it is lymphoma they will leave it. My question he is 14 should I do surgery and get 1 to 2 years more or euthanize him. If no procedure is done he will have to have the fluid removed from his lungs weekly and will only have 6 months or less. He is healthy other than the mass. He is my first baby and sleeps beside me every night. I am looking at quality of life after surgery and cost.
