Hello- I am new to the site. These are my kitties. The flame point mix in the back is the boss of the house, named Daisy. She is around 8 or 9. I found her in a shelter in a crate with 8 or 9 kittens that she had been a surrogate mother for. I am not sure how many litters besides her own that she cared for. She locked her blue eyes with mine, and sort of pleaded with me silently to be rescued. She is beautiful and a bit aloof. She did not get along with the cat I had before these other two, but she took to the kittens and tolerates them.
The two in front were recently adopted together when my other sweet cat passed away. I got them as tiny kittens. They are now 9 months old.
The calico is June and the orange and white kitty is her brother Jasper. Jasper is an unusual kitty. He is one of those kitties that melts into you and lays flat like a pancake. He is very sweet and sort of snores. June likes to have her belly rubbed. They are both pretty mellow for young kittens.
Their mamma was dropped off in a box, outside a human hospital in a rural part of our state. She was very pregnant. A nurse at the hospital took the mamma home and before they could find a good foster for her, she gave birth to 4 kittens. I was lucky enough to adopt this past January to adopt these two. They are very sweet and do well with our kids and with visitors.
Here they are when we first brought them home. We thought they might be long haired but they are mostly short haired with some longer tuffs on their chests, tummies and legs. I searched and searched to try and figure out whether they would be long or short haired. In the end, the only true way to find the answer was to wait and see.
I have been lurking a bit. Always can find lots of advice and information on this site. Thanks for looking!
