The cats around my area are starting to melt, which is nice. But the city recently had to dig up the parking lot due to a water main break, and the city is waiting for nicer weather before completely repaving the area. So now with all the melting, there's a lot of mud and icky sewage-like things on the lot. It looks more like an abandoned construction project than a residential parking lot.
Ew that sounds just lovely! We had a really bad winter when DH and I were engaged. There was a small open area next to DH's house that they were pushing snow from the neighborhood into with a big ol piece of construction equipment. We lived there for 5 years after that winter and that area never looked the same...it was all lumpy.
At least it was grass covered lumps right? And no sewage!
Our snow is almost gone again. The other day when the ground was covered the robins were fighting over the tiny bare patches! Poor things!
