This years trick-or-treaters

I'm 16 and I went out last night as a black cat I wore a black leotard over my shirt and i had pants on, and i put marker on my face for the nose and whiskers. My mom wanted me to take my 8 year old brother around so i did. I got lots of candy, mark, my brother, kept wanting to go to houses with no lights on and i kept saying no, no light means no candy, well with this one house there were lights on inside but none outside and i kept saying no, but i followed him up saying he's not gonna get anything. This is a new neighbor from the middle east but she has a young son, and she said that she forgot, i suspect she didn't know about halloween but she tried to find something for us and we got goldfish

oh today, i gave away the rest of my candy at school to people in my class

I was very polite last night and said trick or treat to everybody, except for the woman with the goldfish because i wan't expecting to get treats as the light was on, but when i got goldfish i said thank you

My son Brandon works at McDonalds and he had to work yesterday so he dressed up as superman. He said they had alot of little kids dressed up come in and they give out candy.

In our town the churchs do big parties like Trick or Trunk. Which is church members bring their cars and decorate their trunks and give candy out in the parking lot. Have safe parties at the church. The malls here also give out candy in the stores. The kids go store to store.

I dressed as a witch this year and gave out candy with Paige in Tow. What was great was that I was holding her and a cauldron, and paige kept swatting the older boys hands when they grabbed for candy. They thought she was cute. Also the little girls were so sweet and I only got a couple of those:/ but they wanted to pet Paige, and she appreciatively drooled on them.

but we still have a lot of candy! Thankfully all the butterfingers are gone, and I can eat 4 tootsie rolls at a time

Aww I just remembered about the youngest girl, she was a little pink fairy, and she was just so sweet- but shy! her mom whispered "april, say trick or treat!" up the stairs at her, but she was too interested in Paige to realize that candy was involved, lol. When i reminded her about candy, she selected one tootsie roll, lol so I gave her about 4 more cause she was so cute.

I'm 16 and haven't been trick-or-treating in about 3 years, but I really wanted to go last night. I ended up passing out candy which I relly enjoyed.

It was fun seeing the younger children in their cute costumes. I got a few older people (around my age!) in sweats with a Wal-Mart bag in my face. I was tempted to shoo them away but just slyly gave them less candy.

We had a pretty good turnout for a small town, and that it rained for the first 20 mins or so. I'd forgotten about it until I saw some kids walk past! My DD's costume last year was way too big, so it fit her fine this year. She was a cute little bumblebee! She got her little Halloween bucket and we went out for about an hour. I'm glad the first house we went to was the next door neighbors', as she walked right in the living room! I explained that we don't actually go in the peoples' houses, and she was good about that afterwards. She's really getting independent, at each house she told me "I don't need any help!" and walked up to the door by herself. Not quite 3 1/2 years old, and doesn't want her Mom trick or treating with her! We had fun though, and took our Shih-Tzu with us. Nobody had any dog biscuits, though!
It does bug me when the older kids are running around without costumes on. And this one young couple was out with a TINY baby. GIVE ME A BREAK, a tiny baby does not need to be out in the cool, damp air like that, and they don't eat candy! You dress up a tiny baby and go to the nursing home so the old folks can ooh and aah! My grandma was in a nursing home when DD was little, and they all got a huge kick out of seeing her in her little penguin costume.
I also made sure she said "trick or treat" and "thank you" at every house. We are being very firm about her manners, as the rude little brats that seem to be the norm these days drive me and hubby CRAZY!!!!!

OMG I forgot... Deacon (my soon to be 4 yr old ) went up to a lady's house, knocked on the door, said "trick or treat" through his mask, she gave him the candy, he said thank you then says " I gotta pee!"

I about died! She was very cool about it and said we were welcome to use the restroom. She told us she had 2 boys (grown now) and she knows when ya gotta go, YA GOTTA GO!...

I took him to the bathroom and she ended up giving him MORE candy when we left! I thought it was embarrassing at first but was proud he didnt pick a tree to water or worse, his pants!

We had around 100 kids this year!! Wow!

We live in a rather poor town, so a lot of kids didn't have costumes. In fact many only had grocery store or fast food bags to collect treats in.I grew up poor myself so I understand that bitterly well. I didn't penalize kids for not being dressed up.

A few kids were really shy and didn't talk but most at least said thank you, if not trick or treat as well.

We bought like 70 bucks worth of candy so we didn't run out. We have very little left over though. But I gave about 5 or 6 treats per kid.

It was a fun night. Connor who just turned 5 wanted to stay outside and "remind" everyone to say Trick-or-Treat. He's never been shy a day in his life!

We had about 60 kids come trick or treating this year. There wasn't too many big kids without costumes which is unusual.

The first kid that came was around 10 yrs old and dressed like a pimp!
I don't know, but if I had a kid I definately wouldn't let him dress up like a pimp! Yikes!!

I didn't answer the door at all - I just kept on my toes incase and funny business went on with my beloved car!

Usually it is just a load of scallies going around with a hoodie and a scream mask asking for cash! *sigh*

I was in a bar one year and three ten year olds (approx) wearing the above 'costume' came in saying trick or treat....Loads of people were actually giving them money!

When they came to me, I asked for a trick and their reaction was to stand there looking lost, when one whispered to the other 'shall we leg it?' Then they were escorted from the bar *sigh*

Not the best area for Trick or Treat....The majority of the street went out for the night to avoid it all!
