Mr Jinx used to do that when he was kitten. I was having a T-Bone once, and the phone rang, he almost grabbed it right off the plate.

My cat does the same thing. He's always the first person to be seated at the table when it's time for a meal.

That's so cute! Thai stands up so he can get a sniff of what's on our plate. He doesn't eat people, at all, but still needs to inspect it for us. So thoughtful!
