Ok, I think Trouble has been reading the boards without my supervision.

We went out onto the patio, and he didn't want to come in when it was time.
So I picked him up, and he let one rip that would shame my dog, both in odor and volume

That's great! Our cats have never done this but our very large Labradoodle puppy, Chester, hopped off the lounge once and left his back legs on it while he put his front legs down on the ground to stretch. His butt was right in Max's face, and not only did he poot, but it was audible AND Max saw the little sphincter open and close right in front of his eyes. He said it was horrifying - like it happened in slow motion.

Of course when he told me I laughed until I stopped breathing

I've never heard my cats do that htough I am sure they have. However my dogs they do it all the time and boy does it stink

Tyran poots a lot, but they are the silent but deadly kind and she likes to do it while she's in your arms. Makes you gag sometimes.
