Joey is staying in at night for nearly a month now. He wants to come in and he uses the litter box if he needs to when he's in. But he still goes out during the day and I think now that he can sleep through the night he is more active during the day. Joey just can't stop hunting. Just now DH caught him next door, stalking something, and heading toward a busy road. You know what cats are like they can focus so intently on the poor little creature they want to catch they run in front of a car. Fortunately Joey does come when I call him but even then he got distracted three times on the way across the neighbour's lawn to me. He's inside now, eating some tasty turkey but he'll have to go back out at least by mid day so the other cats can have some time in the house, upstairs out of the basement. He's only met one of them so far so not ready to spend time alone with the three. If he gets hit on the road I will be devastated. Joe is special, he chose us. I am in love with him. He will not go to anyone else in the neighbourhood, even when they call him and he won't come in if we have a visitor. I guess this hunting, he's darn good at it too, is what kept him alive and really, still is since he'd rather hunt than eat cat food.
