Third Eyelids of a Sick Cat

My 1.5 years old cat was sick last week and was treated for a fever and upper respiratory infection. His third eyelids appeared and his body was very weak. The Vet gave him a shot in the hospital and gave us oral and eye medication to treat him daily.

For the last few days, he appeared to recover and began to do his daily activities. However, his third eyelids are still showing. Does that mean he's still sick? When will they sink back in?

It is generally a sign that a cat is not 100%.

It sounds like he is still recovering from his illness, may be worth taking him back for a follow-up appointment. Your cat may still have a slight temperature.

I agree. It's so wonderful that your little one is improving, and he needs to return for another check-up to ensure the Dr feels he's healing properly.
