I posted yesterday how much I missed Rocky and Little Guy because they had been taken to be "snipped."
They're home and although a bit stunned, are okay and hopefully will continue to be. In fact, I was very proud of them. I was told they were so good, well-behaved, affectionate and friendly, that they didn't even have to use any injectedl sedation and were able to give them a pain killer and do the procedure just under gas, which is what they do prefer to do.
I'm really happy to have them home. Didn't realize how empty the house would be without them.
So why do I feel like a dufus?
Well, you know that joke I made about poor Rocky leaving as Rocky and coming home as Rockette? It was very prophetic.
HE IS A ROCKETTE!!!! As Gomer Pyle would say, "Suprize, Suprize, Suprize!"
He looks like a male (jowls and all). Acts and has the personality of a male. The vet who gave him the first set of shots thought he was a male. My last foster cat, when she went into heat before being spayed used to hit on him (her?). But he is a she!
For some reason this litter was harder to sex than most. And since the first vet to see him didn't say he was a she, I never looked further. These little ones even fooled some vets at the beginning, it seems.
LOL Boy do I feel dumb.
I have to rename her now. What do you think of hermaprhodite? LOL
