Interesting! I'd never heard that before. I first noticed it in my previous black and white cat's mouth. I just thought it was a pigment thing, like a black spot on a white tummy. Or like how some cats have a half pink half black nose.

I'm going to have to check out both my cat's mouths and see if they both have a spot in the same place. Or I could just look through this thread.

I do the same as Sicycat - sneak up to them while they're asleep with the camera, then give them pats and cuddles until they wake up...

Stumpy yawns for aaaaaages after she's woken up
