So today, I swear that Sophie caught a yawn from me. She was in a lazy, relaxed mood, and so I purposely made a big and juicy yawn in front of her. And 10 seconds later - there she goes!

Was it just coincidental? Have any of you noticed if human-to-cat yawns are contagious too???

PS. I bet you yawned when you read this thread.

LOL. I yawned!
I have never been able to make Ginger yawn though. I could make my dog Magic yawn, and it would become a yawn chain of both of us yawning till one looked away, like a stare contest gone bad.

Doesn't seem to be a constant with me. Sometimes the yawns are contagious and sometimes not.

I'm going to have to try this! And I did yawn when I read the title of this thread. And then again...just now.

I do it to Mazy cat all the time. It doesn't noticeably work with Tolly or Jennie, but I can make Mazy cat yawn any time.

It's hilarious. I once had a non cat person visitor in hysterics over it. She kept saying "Do it again" and being incredulous all over again.
