Bleed it Out (Linkin Park)

THE MISHEARD:

I bring it out chicken tikka
Just to throw it away

Real: I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away.

There's a bathroom on the right.

Real lyric "There's a bad moon on the rise" from Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Another extra credit question:

Hendrix did a fine version of "All Along The Watchtower," but it too was actually written by another artist... who knows this one?

And about that songwriter getting more practice later on -- well, "Blinded By The Light" was indeed the first track on the first album he ever made. But it wasn't a matter of practice... just style.

The CD I'm talking about is a bit unusual because he only does a few of his own songs and those are so different they are hard to recognize. He does a lot of older song, quite a few of them religious. When The Saints Go Marching In, This Little Light of Mine, Jacobs Ladder, Old Dan Tucker, Erie Canal, just old fun songs and he and this band of session musicians just jam. It is really good.

Talk about getting it all wrong.

Maybe its because I'm a...
Someone made a youtube video about lyrics they misheard in a fallout boy song.

Real Lyrics-
I'm a leading man, and the lies i weave are oh so intricate, oh so intricate

Misheard lyrics-
I'm a little man, I'm also evil, also into cats, also into cats

The video has lots of pictures of cats.

Official extra-credit winners: Laureen227 for knowing "Blinded By The Light" was written by a very young Bruce Springsteen... and Mer636 for knowing "All Along The Watchtower" is classic Bob Dylan!

Thank you for playing our game!

That youtube vid was hilarious. I saw it a year or so ago, and every time I hear the song, I'm singing it like the video, complete with: "drop a wh-re", "nuts on your bedpost" and "downtown in a lu-le-lur-ah!"

When the J. Geils Band song Love Stinks came out my sister thought they were saying Love Stays. When she found out what they were really saying she was a bit disappointed in what she thought was a sweet love song.

She didn't know what he said either so I looked it up.

Despite seeing Rush in concert, some of their lyrics make me think twice.

I think "There's no bread, let them eat cake" sounds like "There's no bread, LEMONY CAKE!" (Bastille Day)

And my brother and I have decided that this line ("With a host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance") in "Freewill" sounds like "to direct our anus glands"!
