Hi! The girls are going to be okay

They are eating and drinking (less than usual, but still), they are not feverish anymore, and they are more active. They still sleep a lot, but they are already better than yesterday!

I have to say I got really scared at first, but I know now that this little cold is not what killed Maya (even though everything started out with it). The vet think she might have had something that caused multiple organ failure or that she had feline AIDS (so she couldn't fight the cold) or that there was a complication with her pregnancy. She also told me that even if she would have been hospitalized, whith her temp at 32 degrees (and even in the incubator with fluids it didn't go up), there's practically no way they would have been able to save her (it made me feel less guilty about not hospitalizing her)

All this to say: the girls might have caught Maya's cold, but the story isn't repeating itself (thanks Lord).

Marilou

RIP Maya
