I was asked to answer some questions for my SS. Here you go:
What are you favorite types of food?
Depends on my mood, but you can't go wrong with ethnic foods such as Indian or Thai. I'm a big believer in making things from scratch so we stay away from take out and fast food and try to cook at home more often.
Favorite types of chocolate?
I like dark and milk chocolate. Not a fan of filled chocolates.
Favorite scents for candles?
Something that's soft and not overpowering since I can get a headache pretty fast from some scents. I like vanilla, and stay away from everything flowery.
Favorite scents for lotions?
Stay away from lotions, sensitive skin. But if it's hypoallergenic, then I can use it. Again, simple is best. I like 'clean' scents.
If you like to read, do you have a problem with receiving a used book?
Rob is building bookshelves in the near future so I need books! Send them my way!
Do you collect anything?
Photography books and items for the camera (finding out it's an expensive hobby!)
What is your favorite color?
I'm an fall person - deep wines, mocha and coffee colours etc.
If your SS is from overseas, is there anything special you would like them to include?
I'd love anything from their area that I can't get in Ontario. I'll love everything since I'm happy just to be a part of the exchange.
1-What colors are the rooms in your home?
Kitchen - construction zone currently, but will be off-white, natural stone colours with silver/black appliances
Living area - construction zone beige
Bathrooms - construction zone beige
bedrooms - guess? construction zone beige
BUT, in the future most of my house will be offwhite with mocha/coffee type undertones with accent walls in sage and rich jewel tones
2- what is your decorating style?
I call it urban cottage. The comfort of the cottage - fireplace, natural materials (wood,stone,glass) but with urban influences in art pieces, furniture style etc.
Do you enjoy puzzles like crosswords, sudoku, wordsearches?
No, can't stand them!
I don't have the patience for them.
Any colors that you don't like?
Pink, baby blue, canary yellow - I like rich tones - not muted, washed out colours
How do you feel about black & white photos?
My favourite! When we finish the construction I'm going to have one wall dedicated to black and white photography
do your kittys like to wear clothes?
Don't have cats now, but wouldn't do that to the poor thing. Let it keep some dignity!
do you like to bake?
Yes, and so does Rob. We use our bread maker quite a bit and are always on the look out for more recipes.
who is your fav. sport star or team?
Not a sports fan at all!

What is one thing you absolutely DONT want from your SS?
Doilies, flowery pictures, romance novels or anything too feminine. I'll love anything else.

Books: I'm not into romance or mystery. Don't have much time to read but like collections of short stories, usually read magazines National Geographic, photography, home reno etc.

No piercings on this body. Not allergic, but I don't like gold, I'm a silver person.
Do you like jewerly? What kinds?
Usually wear only rings or short necklaces.
How many animals do you have? What kind (cats, dogs, etc!) Tell us a little about their favorite toys/treats!

Love lip moisturizers - any flavour.
What kind of magazines do you enjoy reading?
Anything to do with the outdoors, cottage life, photography, National Geographic, home improvement etc.

Never really played board games....never have the time.
What are your favorite "comfort" things that make you happy?
Curled up in from the fireplace, warm cup of coffee, watching a movie. Waking up on a Saturday and not having anything planned. Fuzzy socks.
Are there any scents (candles/perfume/etc) that should be avoided due to allergies?
Anything strong gives me a headache. Actually, I haven't burned any candles this year but do have some vanilla scented candles in the house.

Do you prefer t-shirts, sweatshirts or blouses?
T-shirts, love to sleep in them
Are you allergic to nuts?
No
Do you have an IPod or MP3 player?
Neither, we just have a CD player.

Don't own any nail polish
Do you wear makeup?
Basic foundation and use some eyeliner. I have sensitive skin so have to be careful.

Do you like homemade gifts? I would love anything, honest!
Would you eat homemade cookies sent by a person you only know via the internet? Hmmmm......I ate Heidi (valanhb's cookies) and survived. Sure, it didn't kill me the first time so why not?
What are your favorite kinds of cookies, esp. holiday cookies?
Peanut butter, shortbread.
Are there any ingredients that should be avoided (i.e. something you hate or are allergic to)? I'm lactose intolerant so try to avoid milk.
Do you live in a house or an apartment??

Again, have sensitive skin so it has to be hypoallergenic. Anthing light and not flowery.
Do you like Christmas ornaments/etc as a present?
Yes! We're just starting to collect ornaments.

Sure, you can't have enough socks! I sound like my mother at Christmas.
Do you like throws/blankets? What color(s)?
Love throws, in any colour except pink and yellow.
Do you like more vibrant colors, pastels, or more muted/earth tones?
Rich jewel tones and earth tones.
What color wrapping paper do you like best when someone gives you a gift???? Any kind of themed paper you like best? (snowmen, reindeer, green..etc)
Silver and white paper is always nice.
Do you like tea, coffee, or hot chocolate?
Like them all. And what I don't drink, Rob will.

Sweet, I'm not a chip person
Do you like receiving gift cards?
Sure!
Do you like burned music cds or orignals?
I like to try new music so I like mixes.
Do you like cookbooks? If so, are there any in particular you would like?
Yes, love cookbooks. Looking for one's that show more basic, healthy recipes, alternatives to traditional high fat/calorie cooking.
