I met my husband also at 18 my freshman year in college, we waited 6 years to get married due to being busy. We dated constantly that whole time, grew up together, going through lots of college, several degrees, graduate school, we were very busy but very much in love and never broke up from the day we met.
We are each other's best friend, have been for many years now, but we do know the value of having other friends and we are secure in our relationship and there is no jealously, male or female friends, it doesn't matter.
I feel the need to point out that marriage is WAY more than a certificate. I promise.
