This is one of Fawn's favourite spots on these warm summer days. The little balcony off our bedroom, on the east side of the house and well shaded by large tree...

That doesn't mean she doesn't like to roll around in the sun out back, though. A most companionable cat, quite happy to have her bath beside Mum's chair...

We don't often get an opportunity for a belly shot of Sooz, so please pardon the less than wonderful focus

And here she is on top of Mum's sewing box...

...pondering whether it's safe yet to come down...

It may be premature, given the watchful eye of Miss Cindy...

...who will almost certainly take off like a flash to join the chase, as soon as Sooz moves

Thanks, Diane. I think they're pretty nice, too.

Now why would that be?

Don't tell the others, but so am I. She's my very special girl, even when she's an impossible brat (tormenting Suzy, as was the case when those shots were taken). I love all my babies, but Cindy's the one who has my number.

Thank you, thank you! Somewhere in her lineage, there's likely a Siamese -- when she was little, her overall colour was a lot lighter, the tabby markings weren't prominent at all and there were vestiges of points. As she has gotten older, her coat has darkened quite a lot, and the points have disappeared into it. Well, it would be interesting to know who her forebears were, but it doesn't really matter -- she's just our pretty little nutcase.

Gee, sounds like they would get on like a house on fire -- Abby might enjoy Fawn's exercise track and jungle jim (aka circuit of hall, livingroom, diningroom, stairs, complete with wall for bouncing off in the opposite direction)
The others have much more discreet "skitties"

Thanks Bindi and Vi and Carol
