I am absolutely shattered today. For some reason last night, the cats would not settle at all - usually they will have a bit of a chase round and some slapping to work out who is allowed to sleep where, and then settle down for the night.
Last night however, I was kept awake by crashing and banging coming from the kitchen, and Sonic making 'oooooo' noises. I got up several times to investigate and check that nothing had been broken, and couldn't work out why they were so excited.
On about my 4th trip to the kitchen to tell them to keep it down a bit, I realised that they were both staring at the nearly empty cat litter bag - which was rustling and shaking!!!! I did the only thing I could think of to ensure some sleep, and gingerly picked it up and shut it in the storage cupboard
After a few minutes they realised they couldn't get to it, and it couldn't get to them, game over - and came to bed.
Nate slept through the whole thing, and went to work before I woke this morning - I just hope he doesn't open the cupboard before I get home or he'll be in for a surprise
