the Daily Thread HUMP DAY Feb 28

Happy Last Day of February! I'll have to tell Mom it's Floral Design Day because that was her first choice of career. Trained in St. Louis and worked for a local florist and even had one customer who always insisted on Mom doing the corsages she wore to special events. Mom thinks she was the first in our area to utilize other orchids than the big purple ones popular at the time. I'm trying to remember how to spell it.

Catteleya? ) Anyway, she had to give it up because of her health. Going in and out of the big refrigerators was making her sick.

Overcast and expecting rain.

Oh, and HAPPY LAST DAY OF WORK to KittenKiya!

Happy last day of work Kittenkiya! I'm jealous!!!!!
I'm off to get ready for work, I have to be there in 1/2 an hour but I'm procrastinating the getting ready part.(can ya tell?) I won't be late. It takes three minutes to get there.

Ha- just got back from qualifying as a Fire Warden

Considering that I'm also First Aid trained perhaps I could apply to be the tcs Health & Safety representative...

Then I could ban Neet from using any smilies until I've done a proper risk assessment

Nope

but they did let me set off loads of fire extinguishers and I got a free Fire Warden jacket (which is so garish I'm leaving it in the packet...

Warm and sunny in Tucson. So far, I've been to WalMart (dog/cat food), gotten my hair cut, dropped off a suit at the cleaners, been to the library and hit the local thrift store. I now have an end table and a small 3-drawer chest and only spent $22

There's a load of clothes in the dryer and its just now 11 a.m. WHEW! I think that I've earned a nap.
