So, after getting over a cold I had (which made me get asthma) I returned to the shelter once again and got to meet some new cats as well as see the progress being made. The Cat ICU was completely empty today!!!! I think that is the first time I have ever seen it that way. The Cat ICU is for new arrivals going through Quarantine or for cats that are sick or injured. Its been emptied out in order to make room for the kitten season.
Here is a picture of Hastings from a few weeks ago. He is still with us, the poor guy. Maybe his missing fur throws some people off, but he is a sweet, light-weight, but healthy boy and his fur is growing back.
Here are three kittens that got adopted out quickly (probably sent to the pet-store that works with our shelter for adoption). I gave them a blanket to rest on and gave them a little bit of cuddles too. From left to right is Sturges, Edgar and Welch.
Here's another kitten that got adopted out quickly, his name was Bashford. There was another with him, a black and white female named Elliot.
Rags letting me pet him (just before he bit me. He has a bad habit of doing that). He likes to yowl for you and then bite and swat at you just for fun. Silly boy.
Sturges saying hello with a stretch. The others were a little more shy.
Beauhcar I believe? He's such a beautiful color! I've never seen a cat quite his color before. And he's a silly little goofball also.
Scampi is a very friendly stray cat who had a hematoma (blood filling the space between the skin of his ear) which was operated on with great success and he is now up for adoption.
Here he is saying hello from his resting spot in the Cat Room.
Trinket showing off her beautiful colors. I love her pattern, its like marbling.
Bailey is a shy girl who is in the Cat Room up for adoption.
London or Shrimpy, I'm not sure which, but she is a girl and those are the only two names for girl cats I didn't recognize. She really is a little thing, so she might be Shrimpy. She's a sweet-heart though
Aida, Rupert, Peggy and Rags are in the main room, probably because they don't get along with certain cats in the Cat Room.
Forrester is in one of the Connections Room because of aggression towards people.
Moo, a cat, is still in foster.
Mr. Cool is still in his extra soft cage for his sore paw pads.
Ginseng is still in boarding.
Couldn't help but add a picture of our cat, Nym. Such a handsome dude!
And of course Genny, sitting with all the tools on her piece of carpet (its set there just for her).
I'll update more later. : )
