So the new addition to the gang - 2 year old ragdoll named Raya
Jez and Raya got along much nicer than i expected, no serious fights, only Jezebel smacking her dominance into Raya (with her clipped claws).
Jez has had the freedom to go outside for a few years now, our house is completely fenced off, so no chance of her jumping over fences and such, our front yard has tall gates with the spikes on top that look like it'll make a kebab out of any intruders, but the gaps between the bars is still big enough for her to slip through, although she's never had a desire to leave our property, and rarely goes in the front yard at all.
There's this kind of baby gate style thing that separates the frontyard and the backyard, it's roughly 1 meter tall and the bars are all vertical, much to my delight and to Raya's dismay, her head is too big to fit through, as she's very curious and I worry about her leaving my property and getting hurt, so far, she hasn't attempted to jump over it (she's a bit silly and very naive for a cat) but i worry that if i were to leave her unsupervised in the backyard with jezebel during the day when i'm out, she may be able to escape, so long story aside (i don't think i can post a thread without writing a novel first
) does anyone know of a way if i can 'test' whether she's capable of jumping over (I know she's more than capable of jumping onto things, but i dont know about over) or a way to prevent her from getting over?
Thanks a billion, again.
