Finally done with the significant work. I have a couple garlands to hang somewhere and window clings for the back door; but thats it. DH wants 110% of the tv screen visible (in case it turns out he’s watching a Hallmark movie maybe? ) so a few things were moved on me.

This is the tree I got for my birthday a few months ago. The bench belonged to my grandparents and this tree is dedicated to Remembrance ornaments for our family that has passed on. The wreath and cardinal painting also belonged to my grandparents. I am really happy with it! Please ignore that my bookshelves are wildly out of order though. 😩 I made room for the nativity on top where there are normally more photo albums. I should probably move them altogether but that’s the best spot for them right now. The nativity was given to DH by a coworker a few years ago but I never knew where to put it till now. I’m unintentionally collecting nativities I guess. I’m up to 10 of all sizes and styles. 🤪

Our main tree; with the barricade to keep Mooch from chewing on it.

I have ribbon to add small bows to the wreaths. I’ll get there!

This is my son’s handiwork. I love the branch and berries in the chimney.

I made a barricade for this one too.

This was my childhood nativity. Complete with the walnut shell half for a manger and bits of garland for hay. :redheartpump:

I didn’t get photos of our big stockings or all the doors; but most have something. Some are the cats stockings that came from TCSers over the years. Its fun to have them around. I did leave some things away this year though.

Now time to focus on baking because I just found out DS needs cookies on Wednesday and I wasn’t planning to start baking till Thursday or Friday.:rolleyes2:

AbbysMom AbbysMom I noticed you have lights on a window sill. Does Abby not bother them? I would love to be able to do that in our living room, but the girls would never allow it! Very nice!
Sorry, just seeing this now. At 19 years old Abby is fairly sedentary these days. I use to wire and tack the candles down but really don't need to any more.

 I do have a few things inside but we’re pretty minimalist when it comes to holiday decorating.
I love him.

DS put a little cat-size santa hat on my extra large unicorn/cat squishmallow. Its a hoot.

I’ve loved seeing all your decorations! I have just moved on my own for the first time and I’ll be away for the holidays (with Morgana, of course, we’re going to my parents!) so I haven’t decorated this year… and I also think the tree won’t survive with Morgs. So many ideas I want to steal for next year! I’ll try a smaller tree and see if it survives….

That means I’ll have to buy decorations ready for next year

When my girls were kittens I got a tabletop size tree i could move to a room with a door when we couldn’t supervise them. They tried climbing and chewing! :rolleyes2:

Love the little gnome pillows on the bench in the first picture.

This is the first year since around 1996 that we did not wire our Christmas tree to the floor molding at the bottom of the wall. Rick put new floor molding down when he painted the walls and put new floor down. He figured he’d see what happens. So far, knock on wood, the girls are doing well.

And finally, a nod to those amazing people who hand embroider, including my friend, no longer with us, who did a set of eight of these Christmas serviettes. The second one is the 'wrong side', so you can see how clever she was.
