This is the thread where we discuss our exercise routines, post pictures and encourage each other to be more active. Everyone welcome! Regular exercisers and New Year's Resolution exercisers alike.
I had an issue with Lola getting behind the rower until I finally accidentally bumped in to her. Now she stays along side me rather than behind me. But if he gets too close, maybe shut him in the bathroom until you are done.It is a resolution because I haven't been doing much. Yesterday did not go well. I got on our recumbent bike and Austin would not get away from the pedals. I'd shoo him, he'd come back. So I gave that up because I had to start something cooking and got the exercise band. I couldn't do that either because my carpal tunnel is not totally better yet and it was hurting my hand. Husband went out and walked around the house 10 times (an accomplishment for him), but I couldn't join him because I was watching the stuff on the stove.
(I do walk around the house, but not for extended periods of time).
So, excuses aside, I'm going to try to do the bike later when Austin settles down for the day and go from there.
Usually I can stop and let him sniff around a bit, then he goes on his way. This time he decided it would be a good place to lounge next to me. If need be, I'll take him up and put him in the bedroom. But then that scares Cricket and she'll go hide under the bed. I think we'll get it sorted out.I had an issue with Lola getting behind the rower until I finally accidentally bumped in to her. Now she stays along side me rather than behind me. When I first started taking my indoor walks, Maggie would throw herself down in front of me or throw herself at me claws out as I walked by. Now she's used to it.I got on our recumbent bike and Austin would not get away from the pedals.
Squats work so well for toning/tightening!!! But I hate doing them, so I don't. What are jumps & bridges? I can't use weights, I always injure myself, even with only 3 pound ones.squats and jumps and bridges
I couldn't do a jumping jack if my life depended on it.Just regular jumping and jumping jacks, mostly while activating my pelvic muscles so that I don't feel like I have to pee every time I bounce. It's slowly been working. And bridges are where you lay on your back with your knees bent and lift up your hips. I need to do them one legged today, so hard.
I actually have my last call with my bladder coach today. I've made lots of improvement, though my bladder isn't what it was in my teens and 20s, so we'll see what recommendations she give me for going forward on my own to keep getting better.
